Become a Contractor with the KCHR
The Knox County Home Rehabilitation (KCHR) Program contracts with qualified construction vendors. Examples of common projects include:
- Accessibility improvements
- Faulty gas lines and electrical systems
- Plumbing issues – leaks, broken supply lines or drains
- Septic tank and sewer
- Heating and cooling systems
- Roofing – leaks, deteriorated underlayment or decking
- Bathroom and kitchen fixtures =
- Asbestos, lead, and mold remediation
- Termite damage
- Water heaters
To help contractors KCHR provides a steady stream of projects, acts as the go-between between homeowners and contractors, and provides reliable and timely pay. Many of KCHR’s current contractors report that this allows them to be paid for helping residents in need.
